OUR HISTORY
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020...
our thoughts were that we were in a pandemic proof business, as a local mom and pop retail supermarket, our business was stable, stablished on our community for more than 15 years, we thought that our workforce was protected with their jobs guaranteed.
Until the day Disney decided to fire all its employees at once. Our retail location is strategic not for the tourists but for the workforce of the hospitality industry,
and when everybody lost their jobs… our catastrophic scenario developed…
Our sales went down immediately and significantly, right after Disney’s decision, churches all over our city donated hundreds of thousands of food boxes to the community in need, and our mom-and-pop shop lost almost all its revenue.
We had to do something, we had to keep the families that lived from our business working, having something to eat every day, we couldn’t let them alone.
We kept our doors open and started thinking outside the box looking for a solution to keep the business going on.
So, one day we have decided to look further into government contracting having in mind that not only we could benefit from that but the families that were supported from our business could keep their lives going on.
This was when PACKING was born, a company that arises from an unprecedented time, like a mythical Phoenix.
We fight for our customers’ needs, we make their
necessity, our emergency.
